After a progressively better four-year career at Nebraska, Stanley Morgan Jr. brings a versatile skillset to the NFL Draft. His 2,747 yards made him Nebraska’s all-time receiving leader, which he paired with 22 touchdowns. Morgan, 22, returned kickoffs as a freshman and dabbled in punt return as a senior. Was ultra-effective from the slot in college and could stretch the field on deep passes. Tested well for quickness at the combine. Cleaned up some drop issues that plagued him in 2016-17 to become one of the Big Ten’s top receivers.

    What the analysts say

“While some scouts see Morgan as "just a guy" with average size and athleticism who fails to stand out as a prospect, others may appreciate his professional approach to the position and competitive demeanor. He's best judged by the sum of his parts, which takes into account his toughness and durability, as well. He doesn't open wide catch windows, but his ball skills and ability to haul in contested catches tend to make up for it. He could start off as a WR4/5 but has the chance to find playing time as he works his way up.” – Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

“Stanley Morgan Jr. projects most favorably as a Z-receiver in the NFL. There, Morgan can get more frequent free releases off of the line of scrimmage and utilize his open field athleticism to threaten defenses on deeper developing routes. Morgan Jr. needs to develop more physicality to beat press for consistent separation against fast-footed CBs in the NFL.” – Kyle Crabbs, The Draft Network

-51st in yards per route run

-4th in deep receiving passer rating
