SENIOR BOWL CENTRAL (PODCASTS, VIDEOS, ARTICLES)
Fast and explosive at the combine, splashy on tape, Sean Bunting offers another mid-to-late-round cornerback option. Bunting finished his Central Michigan tenure with nine interceptions and four forced fumbles. His sophomore to junior year improvement was noticeable as he invited less than half the number of targets and didn’t allow a touchdown in 2018. He ran a top-five 40 in Indianapolis and was the second-highest jumper, which makes him valuable on jump balls. Bunting’s speed and athleticism give him the tools to be an effective corner at the next level.

What the analysts say
“Sean Bunting projects as a high ceiling prospect, but one who will require a fair amount of development to reach his ceiling as a prospect. Bunting has great physical gifts and the needed length to be a terror from the hip, but he can be too loose at the LOS and can be late to find the football in turn and run coverage. Bunting is currently best in bail technique, so a Cover-3 system would get the most out of Bunting in the immediate future. Potential long term starter at CB.” – Kyle Crabbs, The Draft Network
“Long, lanky press corner who plays with good control, an ability to stay connected to routes and above-average ball skills. Bunting is a bail or trail corner who is more adept at shadowing the release than road-blocking it with physicality due to a leaner frame. He's confident in coverage and doesn't play with panic, but has to prove his top-end speed. He's proven his worth on 50-50 balls, but may fall below NFL standards with closing twitch and instincts. He's a solid Day 3 prospect with CB4 potential.” – Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
