    BIG PICTURE

It's nearly impossible to sum up the story of Prince Tega Wanogho, who came from Nigeria with size 17 shoes to play basketball in 2014, found a new sport in football, was taken in by a new family, lost his mother and wound up playing tackle in the SEC. From a football perspective, he redshirted at Auburn before taking snaps at right and left tackle over the next four years. Had his best season as a junior but wasn't bad as a senior either. Didn't get to perform at the Senior Bowl or combine because of a knee injury.

    VIKINGS COMPATIBILITY RANKING

3 out of 5. In a deep tackle class, Tega Wanogho could fall to the third day, similar to Dru Samia last year. If that's the case, he could be a steal for the Vikings.

    WHAT DRAFT EXPERTS SAY

Lance Zierlein, NFL.com: "A late-comer to the sport, Wanogho gained over 50 pounds and has gone through a crash course in football experience since stepping onto campus as a raw athlete with just a year of high school experience. His shorter arms will be an issue against long-limbed defenders, but instinctive, quick hands and an ability to swat and re-establish as a hand fighter should help counter that concern. The footwork and body control are just OK, but he's loose-hipped and tremendously athletic with rare recovery ability when beaten. He may never be a plus run blocker, but he should keep improving with additional work and experience. Wanogho's NFL play may be inconsistent, but his talent and ability to keep rushers off his quarterback is what matters most, and it should make him a long-time starter with development. Very late-comer to the sport, but possesses excellent athletic ability and improving skill-set to handle NFL pass protection on the left side. His issues are more technical and experience-based than physical."

Joe Marino, Draft Network: "Tega Wanogho is a toolsy prospect that is still new to playing football and that becomes apparent when studying his tape. While he has an ideal frame to develop, long arms and excellent functional athleticism, his technique and application of his physical gifts are very much a work in progress. Tega Wanogho has an exciting ceiling to reach should he develop and his tools make him an intriguing option. With that said, patience could be required and he profiles more as an eventual starter at tackler, ideally in a zone blocking run scheme."

    WHAT PFF SAYS
