BIG PICTURE
Jason Strowbridge was a consistent while not jaw-dropping player at North Carolina for his four-year career following a redshirt season in 2015. Finished with 22 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in his career and earned third-team All-ACC as a senior. Quality run-stopper and able to play inside and outside the tackle. Perhaps not as agile as he should be for his size. Looked good at the Senior Bowl, which may earn him some favor. Turns 24 before the regular season, however, which lowers his upside.

3 out of 5. As a player that can play both outside and inside the tacke, Strowbridge would be a versatile piece to give the Vikings depth both at defensive end and 3-technique.

Lance Zierlein, NFL.com: "Strowbridge will give opponents a physical challenge with good length, toughness and hand usage at the point of attack, but he lacks the suddenness and short-area directional change to be a consistent disruptor. While he's not a plus pass rusher, he definitely flashed at the Senior Bowl and has upside as a reduced rusher in an even front on passing downs. He will need to drop the pad level to improve as an edge-setter, but he appears to offer the necessary physical tools and demeanor to become a rotational 3-4 five-technique or 4-3 base end with eventual-starter potential."
Benjamin Solak, Draft Network: "Jason Strowbridge is a Day 3 candidate for teams looking for a long/large 5-tech with the ability to kick inside on clear pass-rushing downs. Strowbridge lacks sufficient lower body mass to play full-time in the interior in the NFL, and is a candidate for tweener play who can win in situational matchups and provide value as a stunter. That said, while Strowbridge has flashy length and quickness, he is an inconsistent player across the board who needs technical improvements and easier read keys at the NFL level to make a quick impact. Strowbridge is a high-upside developmental player given his frame, but don't expect him to offer much before Year 2."
