As a late riser in the pre-draft process, Daniel Jones isn't wowing anybody with his numbers or analytics, but the Duke quarterback's smooth mechanics and terrific 6-foot-5 size have scouts thinking he might have what it takes physically. Jones wasn't surrounded by a ton of talent at Duke but was able to engineer wins in small bowl games each of the last two seasons and looked great doing so.
Doesn't blow anybody away with his speed but was occasionally a high-volume runner at Duke, rushing for 186 yards against North Carolina last season. Was a three-year starter for the Blue Devils and is still just 21 years old.

Jones doesn't have special arm talent, but he can make pro throws and has the ability to attack deep with accuracy. He completed just 59.9 percent of his career passes, but his receivers -- who dropped 38 passes this year alone -- really struggled to get open at times. Jones has good football IQ and is relatively mobile, but he appears to be more of a game manager than "franchise" talent. He's more of a Day 2 draft pick than Day 1." -- Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
"A smart quarterback with good mechanics outside of a slightly elongated delivery that will probably always be there, Daniel Jones ran David Cutcliffe’s dink-and-dunk offense very efficiently despite poor protection and lots of drops from his receivers. He can throw with touch down the field and pace between the hashes, but his lack of arm strength and deep ball accuracy prevents a lot of the tougher throws from being completed.
