An All-American, Ted Hendricks Award winner and ACC Defensive Player of the Year, Clelin Ferrell, 21, was a vital piece of a Clemson team that won titles two out of his three seasons. His sack and tackle-for-loss production improved every year, and he led the ACC in those categories (12 sacks, 20 tackles for loss) in 2018 after opting to return to school instead of heading for the NFL.
Ferrell encountered adversity in high school as his father passed away his freshman year of cancer. He then tore his ACL as a senior in high school before being redshirted his first year at Clemson, making his rise to prominence all the more impressive.
He is also quite particular that his first name be pronounced CLEE-lin.
