Part of the Oklahoma trio with Cody Ford and Dru Samia that was honored as the nation’s top offensive line, Ben Powers anchored down the left guard spot for the majority of the last three seasons. A former four-star recruit, he became an Outland Trophy semifinalist thanks to his effective work – no sacks allowed in his career, per Pro Football Focus. A hamstring injury prevented Powers from running the 40 at the combine or his Pro Day, but his Pro Day 20-yard shuttle would have finished middle of the pack. Analytically, his pass-blocking and run-blocking numbers were terrific at Oklahoma.

“Rugged, three-year starter for well-regarded Oklahoma offensive line. Year playing junior college ball due to a lack of scholarship continues to feed his grudge-holding play demeanor on the field. Powers has decent play strength and operates with solid technique but lacks the bend and athletic ability teams look for in a starting guard. “Powers is the definition of a good college football player who may not have any great traits to hang his hat on as he translates to the NFL. Against the Big 12 level of competition he more than held his own, showing off the ability to pull and hit targets in space at a pretty high level. But the more superior the athlete or the more dominant the physical traits he faced, the more he struggled. It's clear Powers has some limitations that I'm not sure his technique can make up for, but I do think he's savvy enough to project as a starter down the road, even if he isn't ever a top player at his position.” – Jon Ledyard, The Draft Network
