A.J. Terrell was a four-star recruit before contributing as a true freshman for the powerhouse Clemson Tigers, which has been a cornerback factory for the last decade. He finished his career with six interceptions and appeared in a pair of championship games. Named first-team All-ACC his final season. Showed good speed at the combine, but he'll need to up his physicality at the next level.

3 out of 5. It feels like the Vikings will go after a cornerback sooner than Terrell, but they've certainly got the track record of taking corners from Clemson.

WHAT DRAFT EXPERTS SAY
Lance Zierlein, NFL.com: "Long, press-man cornerback with thin lowers, but good overall size. Terrell has the foot agility and patience to pedal and mirror the release or jab and ride on it aggressively. He's an above-average athlete with quick burst to close out space in tight quarters, but he's not a classic click-and-close talent from off-man and issues with balance prevent sudden stops to shadow at the top of the route. The size and ability to hound 50/50 balls deserve recognition, but he lacks ballhawking traits, which could cap him as an average future starter."
Benjamin Solak, Draft Network: "A.J. Terrell projects as a Day 1 starter for a team that is comfortable keeping their corners off the line of scrimmage. While Terrell can operate as a press corner with some success, his best reps come when he’s aligned in catch-man technique, so that he can click and close out of a pedal and drive into quick PBUs and even INTs. Terrell has quality turn-and-run ability down the field, but isn’t the best playing the football in the air, and may end up a more effective slot than he ends up an outside receiver given his strengths. Terrell is well-rounded and has a high floor, and should be expected to be an immediate contributor, so long as he isn’t tasked with pressing WR1s on a weekly basis."
