  • THE MINNESOTA LINE: Week 17 Picks

    Guest Sam Ekstrom

Our trio is off for a holiday break, but here are the updated standings after a decisive week for our leader Colton.

    Colton: $1484 (3-0 in Week 16)

    Mike: $516 (0-1 in Week 16)

    Sam: 23-21-3 overall (2-0-1 in Week 16)

Even though there's no audio this week, we still have selections from Colton and Mike, who are nearly $1,000 apart in the bankroll standings.

    COLTON

    1) Carolina +7.5 vs Saints ($50)

The Saints have locked up the number one seed and either bench their starters or pull them very early.

    2) Steelers/Bengals Over 45.5 ($50)

The Steelers need a victory to try and stay in the playoff hunt, and their offense should have no trouble finding 30-35 against a terrible Bengals team. On the flip side, the Bengals have enough good offensive pieces to score on a spotty Steelers defense. This game will more than likely end in a 38-13 result.

    3) Chargers -6.5 @ Broncos ($50)

The Chargers still have a shot at the one seed. Granted, a victory for the Raiders over the Chiefs is unlikely, but they still have a chance. All they need is a win against a Denver squad that can no longer overcome their offensive inefficiencies. This game has the makings of a route, one team uber talented and still getting plenty of reasons to play, the other limping to the offseason.

    MIKE

    1) Top pick: Chiefs/Raiders Over 52.5 ($70)

Both are trying, and KC seems to be adjusting to loss of Hunt.

    2) Browns/Ravens Parlay Under 41 + Ravens -5.5 (Risking $20 to make $52)

Baltimore has potential to control the ball for 38 minutes and contain Nick Chubb.

    3) Jets +13.5 vs Patriots ($30)

Jets will be trying, and you still have to pay a premium for wagering on the Pats.

    4) Texans -7 vs Jaguars ($30)

DeShaun Watson is healthy after three months of hobbling because of cracked ribs and a partially collapsed lung.

    5) Ravens to win the Super Bowl ($20 futures bet to make $400)

Future book lines are all over the place (I got better odds on Betonline), but this seems to be as close to the consensus as you'll find.
