No tight end did more for themselves last year than Mark Andrews. Voted the Mackey Award winner in 2017 as the nation’s best tight end, Andrews doubled his receptions from 31 to 62 and his yardage from 489 to 958 as he caught passes from Baker Mayfield.
After converting from a high school wideout to college tight end, Andrews became one of the most reliable red zone threats for the Sooners with 22 of his 112 career catches going for touchdowns.
Coming from an offense that threw the ball frequently, Andrews will need to prove that he can run block in the NFL.
He’s also battled Type 1 diabetes throughout his playing career, which he was diagnosed with at age 9.
