After spending two years as a regular contributor at right tackle for Army, Brett Toth is likely good enough to play in the NFL. But a regulation laid down by the Trump Administration may prevent him from getting a waiver to forego his 24-month military service obligation. That would keep him out of the league until 2020.
Because of Army’s fitness requirements, Toth can move well at 6-foot-6, 305 pounds. A foot injury kept him from participating at the combine, but he did attend the Senior Bowl. If a team drafts him and he can’t play, he’d likely go on their reserve list and not count against the active roster.
