MLB (1 Unit) San Francisco Giants Team Total Over 4.5 (-110): 8:45 PM CT on NBC Sports-Bay Area

The San Francisco Giants clinched a playoff berth last night and don’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon, especially not against Jake Arrieta tonight.

The Giants have won eight straight games, going over this total in all of those, and now get to face Arrieta as a shell of his former self. Since the wheels came off for Arrieta this summer, opposing teams have cleared this team total in 11 of his 13 starts, a stretch that’s seen him post a 9.70 ERA. He’s also struggled with giving up big hits to this Giants lineup as they have a career 1.014 OPS mark against him.

The Giants hit right-handers like Arrieta well in general, with the best ISO power numbers, 3rd-most home runs, 5th-highest OPS, and 7th-most runs scored. San Fran can’t afford to let off the gas with the Dodgers right behind them in the division race, so look for them to punish Arrieta and get over this total for a 9th straight game.

Every day he will offer his Locks and Degenerate picks. Locks are the games he's confident in. Degenerates are entertaining but riskier picks.
