MLB (0.75 Unit) Cincinnati Reds/Washington Nationals Over 8 (-110): 12:35 PM CT on MASN

These teams make this handicap fairly simple considering they never go below this total when they play. In their six meetings this season they’re 5-0-1 over today’s number, averaging 11.2 runs per game. It doesn’t hurt to have today’s pitching matchup either, which should bring runs in bunches.

It’s tough to go broke expecting runs from Patrick Corbin, who will bring his 8.33 ERA over the past two months into today’s meeting. There’s really nothing positive to say about Corbin, who gets crushed by hitters from both sides of the plate. But with Cincinnati better against lefties like him, there should be plenty of runs in store for the Reds.

The Nationals will certainly need to contribute though, something they haven’t done much of in Corbin’s starts lately. But Nick Lodolo brings an ERA of 7.94 in road games to DC which certainly helps the cause. The Nats are actually good at getting baserunners against lefties like Lodolo, so the chances will be there for bringing them home. I’m just not understanding why this number seems so low given the trends and pitchers, so I have to jump on the over.

    Degenerates

    No degenerates today.

Tiny Nick is 834-699 ATS (+76.9 Units) on his Locks since joining Zone Coverage.

Every day he will offer his Locks and Degenerate picks. Locks are the games he’s confident in. Degenerates are entertaining but riskier picks.
