Let’s not overthink this. The Twins are getting far too much respect in this spot against a Tampa Bay team that has been better all year while also playing superior competition in the AL East. Michael Wacha has been BAD for the Rays so far this year so I understand the skeptical approach Vegas is taking here but Kenta Maeda is also having a weirdly bad season as well so let’s not look too far into it. Nelson Cruz homered yesterday in an easy win for the Rays and I expect more of the same today as the Rays try to stay atop one of the best divisions in baseball.

Bonus Bet: Rays over 4.5 (-110), Game Over 9.5 (-110):

Take your pick here because this game is going to be full of action. Both pitchers in this game have a WHIP of well over 1.30 which should translate to some runs scored on a beautiful Saturday night in Minneapolis. When exploiting the pitching matchup for both teams I would take the game over, especially because Wacha has been that bad this year but the Rays should be able to score five themselves in this one so I’m going to leave that up to the viewer. If you’re a Twins fan just shield your eyes and be happy for Cruz as he takes another stab at a playoff run.
