By now, most football fans are aware of the fake-game win streak the Baltimore Ravens are on, winning 20 straight since the start of the 2016 preseason. They’re also 18-2 ATS during this streak, are 14-5-1 against tonight’s number, and have won those 20 games by an average of 12.9 points. Credit to John Harbaugh for caring where other coaches don’t, I guess, as he’s been fairly clear that the Ravens will do what it takes to keep the streak going.
Now obviously, Baltimore's success has been baked into this line, with the Ravens laying double what the typical preseason Week 1 spread is. But I’m not seeing any reason to fade them in this spot. While they’re resting a lot of star players tonight, so is Tennessee. And the Ravens still have very capable backups – particularly at quarterback with Tyler Huntley and Brett Hundley – to give them an edge. Add in the motivation factor for Baltimore, and they seem like a solid bet to make it 21 straight with a comfortable win here.
