The Lynx are catching a lot of steam despite 3 straight lopsided losses, and I think it’s with good reason. They get another of the WNBA’s bottom-feeder teams today, with the LA Sparks in a bit of a collapse. It’s now 6 straight losses by the Sparks, by an average 16.5 point margin, and they’ve failed to cover in any of them as well.
Minnesota’s tendency to punch down on bad opponents should be back here, especially since they’ve owned the season series with a 3-0 straight up and ATS record. This should be a chance for the Lynx to return to how they looked during their 5-game win streak against the dregs of the league.
WNBA (0.75 Unit) Las Vegas Aces Team Total Over 94.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 9:00 PM CT on Prime Video
The Aces and their elite offense have had plenty of time to prepare for this first game off the All-Star break. The sharpness this team has shown since their second loss of the season is impressive, easily clearing this team total in all 3 games while averaging 102.7 points. Las Vegas has also been pretty dominant against Seattle this season, dropping 105 and 96 on them in the two meetings so far. Despite a 1-9 stretch the Storm have been fairly competitive, so instead of laying a big number with the Aces I’ll just count on them continuing to score at will on outmatched opponents.
