Locks
MLB (1 Unit) Colorado Rockies/Arizona Diamondbacks Over 9 (-110): 3:10 PM CT on Bally Sports AZ
The past two days of these teams reaching 11 runs reaffirmed that their shared pitching woes create excellent conditions for overs. It sure looks like that will continue today, as both starting pitchers are once again horrible.
The biggest factor is probably Arizona starter Tyler Gilbert, whose 6.86 ERA doesn’t even do justice to how much trouble he might be in here. Gilbert has been truly awful against right-handed hitters this season in allowing a .339 average and 1.100 OPS, and Colorado happens to be an almost exclusively right-handed lineup. They also crush lefty pitchers like him, with the most runs and hits, plus the best average and OPS in all of baseball.
So there’s a non-zero chance the Rockies could get to this total themselves today, but they’ll be giving up plenty too. German Marquez has a rough history against an Arizona lineup not really known for offense, allowing a career .335 average and .977 OPS to them. With bad and overworked bullpens also a factor here, this game should easily find its way over a moderate total.
