MLB (0.75 Unit) LA Angels -1.5 @ Colorado Rockies (-110; Odds via Caesars): 2:10 PM CT on SportsNetRM

A big reason why I hate baseball is that Friday I looked to exploit the lefty-versus-lefty starter matchup between these teams and it flopped. Then of course yesterday I stayed away and the Angels won 25-1 in probably the biggest blowout we’ll see this season. I’m sticking to the numbers here though that say the Angels should exploit a bad left-hander while the Rockies will struggle.

Despite Tyler Anderson’s general struggles this season, I’m not seeing Colorado get to him enough today with their poor numbers against lefties. Meanwhile, yesterday’s hot hitting for LA should carry over against Austin Gomber. With the Angels so good against lefties and Gomber sporting a 9.40 ERA and .346 on-base average allowed at Coors, I think LA runs away in this game.

MLB (0.75 Unit) Arizona Diamondbacks Team Total Over 4.5 (+100; Odds via Caesars): 3:05 PM CT on MLB Network

The Diamondbacks are not lacking in the offense department, and with how they’ve been scoring lately I think this isolated total is a little light. Arizona is 8-2 over this number their past 10 games while averaging 5.3 runs per game in that stretch. They’re also averaging 4.8 runs per game against San Francisco in the season series.

The Snakes should have more success today against Anthony DeSclafani who’s had trouble at home this season and as a righty puts Arizona in their preferred hitting split. After 5 and 6 runs the past couple nights at Oracle Park, another big wind blowing out to center should help boost the D’Backs over this number.

    Degenerates

    No degenerates today.

Every day he will offer his Locks and Degenerate picks. Locks are the games he’s confident in. Degenerates are entertaining but riskier picks.
