Yes, the Rays have been picking it up lately. And yes, Shane McClanahan is another of their secret weapons poised to break out soon. But I’m getting a team that’s been dominant in their own ballpark, at plus money, with the reigning Cy Young winner Robbie Ray on the mound here. That’s too much to pass up, even if the Mariners haven’t been the picture of consistency this season.
Seattle has been far better at home this season, going 7-2 at T-Mobile Park as opposed to 5-11 on the road and batting 45 points better there. It was a road trip to Tampa where the Rays took 2 of 3 that no doubt has an impact on who is favored tonight. But those losses for the Mariners were both by a single run, so this should really be a coin-flip game. To get a plus-juice return on what I make to be a 50/50 proposition is great value, so I’ll back the M’s to get some home-cooked revenge here.
