I was happy to see the Rockies get swept this week in Philadelphia, anticipating that would depress their value before this series. It definitely did, because there’s no way they should be a plus-juice price on the run line against this Reds squad. Cincinnati has been an incredible fade on the run line so far this season, with 15 of their 17 losses coming by more than a run. They’re also starting a minor leaguer tonight in Connor Overton out of desperation.
That’s bad news for the Reds against a Colorado team that once again is far better at home. The Rockies already have drastic differences in their hitting stats at Coors Field compared to the road, and I expect them to tee off on the call-up starter tonight. They’re also getting excellent pitching from Chad Kuhl who has only allowed 2 total runs across his 3 starts, all Rockies wins by 2 or more runs. Even after a 10-4 win last night this Rockies team is still mispriced, and I love the plus-juice return here against the worst team in baseball.
