New Mexico will be looking for a bounce back here after getting shut down at St Mary’s last time out. The Gaels tend to shut a lot of teams down, but this offense is far too good to stay in any kind of slump, especially back home. The Pit has always been friendly to the Lobos offense in the Richard Pitino era, and they put up 92 in the season opener.

Arlington is probably in trouble here defensively, as they’ve struggled so far to hold teams down inside the arc. That’s where New Mexico thrives with their mid-range shooters, but also struggles to defend inside. That tradeoff should allow for lots of easy baskets in a high-scoring game.

NCAA Basketball (1 Unit) UMass-Lowell/Arizona State Under 147.5 (-110; Odds via BetMGM): 8:00 PM CT on Pac12 Network

I could not believe this total when I saw it. Most metrics sites have this game finishing in the low 140’s range, with KenPom all the way down at 138 points. Neither of these teams are spectacular offensively, and Lowell has been guarding extremely well so far this year. They should shut down a Sun Devils squad that has struggled to find anything offensively this season. But ASU plays tough defense themselves, at a slow tempo, and is a good matchup against a River Hawks team that is no threat from downtown. This game is more likely to be played in the 60’s, so I’m really liking the under here.
