Being from Minnesota, I know how pessimistic we are about our local teams so I understand not wanting to enter this mess of a game but have a hard time believing the Vikings won’t win this game. Just one year ago the Vikings broke the NFL record for most wins without a loss in one score games so it’s only right that they would come back to earth this year. Close game or not, I expect the Vikings to come out of Chicago with a win.

NFL (1 Unit) Detroit Lions -3 @ Tampa Bay Bucs (-110): 3:25 PM CT on FOX

Yeah, I’m aware I am taking two short road favorites and I’m not proud of it. That being said, I’m so high on the Detroit Lions right now that I can’t believe we can get them at only a field goal. The Bucs are banged up on offense and have squeaked out some fortunate wins against mediocre opponents but Detroit is for real this year so I’m rolling with Jared Goff and the Lions.

NFL (2 Unit) 2 Team 6 Point Teaser (-120):

Philadelphia Eagles -0.5 @ New York Jets;

As I mention my podcast weekly, I think the Eagles and the 49ers are on another level compared to the rest of the NFC right now and Zach Wilson is not exactly the class of the AFC. Look for Philadelphia to blow this one up early in what should be a comfortable win.

San Francisco 49ers -3 @ Cleveland Browns;

This number has been on the move since Deshaun Watson was ruled out for this one but on the tease this game has a lot of value. Former Iowa State great Brock Purdy is somehow still undefeated in the regular season and that’s not going to end here. Now add a backup quarterback having to make his season debut against the best defense in football and it’s a no-brainer. Let’s keep the short-favorite trend rolling in what should be another double digit win for this juggernaut 49ers team.
