NBA (1 Unit) Boston Celtics/Indiana Pacers First Half Over 115.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:30 PM CT on ABC

The Pacers now find themselves with their backs against the wall, which is not unfamiliar for them in these playoffs. They responded last round down 0-2 with a big effort from their elite offense that started early, resulting in a 121-point first half with New York. I think their offense continues to be hot and efficient tonight against a Boston defense that has looked disinterested at times.

Indiana has been excellent offensively no matter the location in these playoffs, but strongest at home in situations like this. Boston’s path has been much different against teams with nothing close to the offensive ability Indiana has, but their offense is also elite no matter the venue. But a motivated effort out of the Pacers here should produce a lot of points to start this game, and I don’t have to worry about it tightening up in crunch time.

MLB (0.5 Unit) Seattle Mariners @ Washington Nationals +1.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 3:05 PM CT on MASN2

The Nationals are catching far too much disrespect in general compared to how sneaky-good they are. This team doesn’t get blown out very often, owning a 27-18 run line record as an underdog like they are today. Compare that with a Seattle team that’s only 12-14 to the number when laying the run and a half, so Washington really feels like the side. I also like their starter Trevor Williams today, who has been excellent at home with a 1.65 ERA, a 0.61 WHIP, and a .145 opponent on-base percentage. The Nats are 7-2 when he starts including 3-0 at home, so at an overpriced line I’ll take the run-line insurance with a live dog here.

    No degenerates today.

Every day he will offer his Locks and Degenerate picks. Locks are the games he’s confident in. Degenerates are entertaining but riskier picks.
