The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Tuesday the resignation of Rick Brunson, who had served as assistant coach through the past two seasons.
This news came a day after Monday's announcement of three staffing changes -- those moves, however, were made by the Timberwolves front office rather than the coaches themselves. As it's been announced, Brunson himself made the decision to resign.
Shortly after the official announcement, Jon Krawzcynski of The Athletic reported that the resignation came as he faced multiple allegations of "improper interaction" while on duty with the team.
This isn't the first time Brunson was faced with allegations of misconduct. In 2014, he was charged with aggravated battery and attempted sexual assault after an incident with a female masseuse at a fitness center in Vernon Hills, Ill. He was eventually found not guilty on those charges.
