  • Twins Announce Spring Training Broadcast, Telecast Schedule

    Guest Brandon Warne

On Thursday morning the Minnesota Twins announced plans for broadcasting 20 Spring Training games from the upcoming Grapefruit League schedule.

The broadcast schedule includes 11 games on television (Fox Sports North or FSN+), 15 games on 830 WCCO and 20 total on the Treasure Island Baseball Network.

Additionally, the March 7 game on the road against Boston will be televised by ESPN.

The broadcasts will be worked by various on-air talent, including Cory Provus and Dan Gladden -- the usual radio tandem -- Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven and also FSN's Marney Gellner, who recently made her NBA broadcasting debut and will do the same in March on the MLB side.

The schedule starts on Feb. 23 against the Tampa Bay Rays, and the final broadcast will be a home matchup against the Colorado Rockies on March 26 -- two days before the opener against Cleveland at Target Field.

Here is the complete broadcast schedule, as released by the Twins:

Marney Gellner is trying to hard it seems to me and comes off as being abrasive , annoying ? Im sorry my wife, daughter, son, were all bagging on Marney as an announcer and I was thinking the same thing, during the Phillies - Twins game

I’m just guessing here that you guys can’t afford a radar gun. What kind of donation do you need to make it look like the League above AAA?

Why can't the announcers broadcast the game!!! We could care less about what color uniform Jack Morris was wearing 40 years ago!!! They go on and on and on about themselves. Hey!!!! There is a game going on. We have started to just mute our TV:(((
