Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore now has another trophy to add to her collection.

The four-time WNBA Champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist and former WNBA Most Valuable Player was named the 2017 Performer of the Year by Sports Illustrated on Wednesday afternoon, the company announced in a press release.

The Performer of the Year award, which is new this year, was awarded to Moore because she "has been a key player on more than a dozen teams that have won championships, ranging from the NCAA to the WNBA to Olympic gold medals, to professional leagues around the globe," according to the press release.

Sports Illustrated also mentioned Moore's long list of individual accolades as a reason for her being named to the award, as well as her continued activism and fight for social justice.

Being named the Performer of the Year adds to the already eventful offseason for Moore, who is coming off of helping the Lynx win the 2017 WNBA title. In October, Moore was named the Women's Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Year, recognizing her success with the national team and in the WNBA.

Along with Moore, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was given the Rising Star Award and Houston Astros outfielder Carlos Beltran was given the Hope Award.

Moore, Embiid and Beltran will be honored at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards on December 5 in Brooklyn, New York and all will be featured in Sports Illustrated’s upcoming Sportsperson of the Year issue.

For those of you who want to tune into the Sportsperson of the Year Awards, it will be aired at 7 p.m. on Dec. 8 on NBCSN.
