ESPN is reporting that Jamal Crawford, 37, has signed a two-year, $9 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Brian Windhorst and Chris Haynes report that the deal includes a second-year player option.
Crawford reached a buyout agreement with the Atlanta Hawks after being acquired via trade from the Los Angeles Clippers. Minnesota is just below the salary cap, but have their $4.3 million mid-level exception they can use on Crawford.
Crawford, who is about to enter his 18th season, averaged 12.3 points and shot 36 percent from 3-point range in 82 games for the Clippers last season.
The Vertical first reported Crawford nearing a contract agreement with Minnesota.
