NFL (0.5 Unit) Minnesota Vikings Team Total Over 20.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:15 PM CT on Prime Video

Week 3 is a long time ago, and that’s the last time anyone felt confident about this Chargers team. Certainly defensively, as that 3-0 start also came with some impressive defensive performances, but things have taken a turn since. They’ve allowed their past 4 opponents to go over this total, which has included some very suspect offenses, and are now allowing 23.3 PPG on the season. They aren’t easy to throw on, but that should suit the Vikings just fine as it keeps the ball out of Carson Wentz’s somewhat destructive hands. Expect a big game on the ground from Minnesota here as the Chargers rank 29th in EPA/play against the run, and I think that gets them enough points to clear this low total.

Bonus Prop Picks (Odds via DraftKings)

1 Unit – Jordan Mason Over 55.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

0.75 Unit – Keenan Allen Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

0.5 Unit – Jordan Addison Over 54.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

NBA (0.5 Unit) OKC Thunder 1st Half Team Total Over 61.5 (+100; Odds via Caesars): 6:30 PM CT on ESPN

The Thunder did not get off to a spectacular start after hanging their banner, and I’m expecting better from them tonight. Chalk it up to a lack of focus, maybe combine it with the Rockets still being a relatively elite defensive squad, regardless, OKC did not look like themselves offensively. The defense they face tonight will not be anywhere near Houston’s level, especially with Indiana being shorthanded here. The Thunder will really have an opportunity to flex their depth and generate a lot of points when the starters head to the bench, as I think their second unit has a big advantage over the Pacers. But overall, better focus and execution away from the distractions of a ring ceremony should do them good and I think they push over this early total.
