MLB (0.5 Unit) 2-Team Moneyline Parlay (+190; Odds via Caesars)

San Diego Padres (-130) @ St Louis Cardinals: 6:15 PM CT on Fanduel Sports MW

The vibes around this Cardinals team are not good, last night’s win notwithstanding. Even in that victory, in a spot they had to have with their best pitcher on the mound, it wasn’t easy as the Padres tallied 7 runs. St Louis won’t be able to get the bats working like that tonight either, as Nick Pivetta has been untouchable lately with a 0.57 ERA his past 5 starts.

And Miles Mikolas has been terrible for the Cardinals lately with an 8.08 ERA the past month, so they simply won’t be able to create the runs needed to compensate for what he’ll give up. The Cards were always sort of a house of cards this season, and that appears to be falling apart, so look for an easy win by the Padres tonight.

Atlanta Braves @ Texas Rangers (-155): 7:05 PM CT on MLB Network

I don’t understand this pricing on Texas, as the Rangers seem to be lined like the team that was struggling a lot of the year, while the Braves are trading on their name recognition. But the Rangers are as hot as any team out there, finally living up to their potential as they surge into the playoff conversation.

And they have arguably their best pitcher going today in Nathan Eovaldi, who has posted a 1.66 ERA the past month and also has great history against the Braves roster. Atlanta looks to be throwing essentially a bullpen game today, and I don’t have any confidence in this offense right now, especially against Eovaldi. Texas defends home field better than anyone, with a 25-7 straight up record as a home favorite, best mark in baseball, and I think they keep up the winning ways here.

WNBA (0.75 Unit) Las Vegas Aces @ Minnesota Lynx -9.5 (-110; Odds via Fanduel): 6:30 PM CT on ION

The script has flipped in this matchup, as the Lynx have taken over as the dominant team in this rivalry and the league. Minnesota has dominated the Aces with four straight double-digit wins dating back to last season, including a 14-point win last month at Target Center.

The Lynx benefited from A’Ja Wilson missing that game, which won’t be the case tonight, but the Aces are on a rare back-to-back here after falling to Indiana without Caitlin Clark. A rested and motivated Lynx team should be able to dominate in that situation, especially against this Aces team that just hasn’t put it together this season. Smart money loves the Lynx tonight, and at less than double digits I do too.
