The warmer temperatures and favorable wind conditions at Oakland Coliseum today offset its pitcher-friendly setup, and a bad starter for the Angels should struggle as a result. Jack Kochanowicz is making his second big league start today, after he gave up 5 runs in 3 innings against the light-hitting Mariners last week.

While Oakland has a similar reputation for hitting ineptitude, they’ve actually been on fire at the plate lately. The A’s have had games of 19, 18, and 13 runs in the past 9 games, and have gone over this team total in 12 of their past 20 overall. Against a bad rookie pitcher with positive hitting conditions today, look for them to have another strong day with the bats.

While the Wizards aren’t anything special themselves, everyone is having a turn at running out the Bucks and I’m sensing they will too.
