WNBA (0.75 Unit) Indiana Fever -9 First Half @ Connecticut Sun (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:00 PM CT on ESPN
The Fever have run it up on a good team and a bad team in their past two games, and now they face the worst team. Connecticut really can’t stop anything as the league’s most generous defense, and if the Fever are looking to show out on ESPN in this game, they’ll run away from the opening tip. What’s most incredible about Indiana’s last couple blowouts is they’ve been doing it with minimal contributions from Caitlin Clark, and if she wakes up in this spotlight game, watch out. Indiana should be able to take advantage of a Sun squad that has had a brutal travel schedule for the past 6 days, and just came back from the west coast yesterday. Connecticut has been feisty lately though, so I’ll focus on the first half here and avoid any backdoor covers on a massive number.
WNBA (0.5 Unit) Washington Mystics Team Total Over 82.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 9:00 PM CT on MNMT
There’s just no way I can resist fading the Sparks defense no matter who they’re playing. Washington’s offense can be incredibly ugly and they tend to turn games into low-scoring slogs, but this might be the one opponent who changes that. I shouldn’t say only, because the one team with a worse defense than LA, which is Connecticut, has seen the Mystics drop 90 and 104 on them this season. So there’s precedent for Washington to run it up on a truly awful defense, and with the Sparks allowing their past 5 opponents to crush this team total, I’m taking a shot on another instance here.

MLB All-Star Game National League/American League Over 7 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:00 PM CT on FOX
I always bet the All-Star Game over, partly because what else are you going to do, but also because it’s always such a low number. That’s due to the best pitchers in the game getting the start, and baseball totals are mostly based on quality of starting pitching. But it’s easy to forget that the best hitters in the game are lined up to face them, and a ton of different pitchers see action, not just Tarik Skubal and Paul Skenes. Those two have actually shown some cracks lately, so with the most elite lineups possible heading to the plate, look for enough runs to push or clear this total.
