I’m running this back from yesterday, and if the Diamondbacks are going to keep sending mediocre righthanded starters into battle with the Padres, I might stick with this angle all series. Yesterday was easy for this elite San Diego offense to clear their team total, and today should be no different against Brandon Pfaadt. The Arizona righty has an ERA north of 5 on the road, and the Padres bats have a cumulative average of .343 against him. Fernando Tatis is going to return one of these days too, but the best hitting team against righties hasn’t needed him and I think they clear this team total again regardless.
