NBA (1 Unit) Anthony Edwards Over 27.5 Points (-110; Odds via DraftKings): 8:30 PM CT on TNT
Ant, I love you, you’re my favorite player in the league right now, but can you maybe do something in the first half of the game? Betting these point totals has been sweaty thanks to slow starts, but he eventually gets there and I think he will again tonight. It’s takeover time for the budding superstar in this close-out situation in front of the home crowd, and I expect Ant to put together another big game.
Bonus Bet (1 Unit): Julius Randle Over 22.5 Points (-110; Odds via DraftKings)
Again, can we get some consistency throughout the game instead of lopsided halves? Randle was the only one keeping the Wolves in the game during the first half on Monday, nearly cashing this total by halftime but falling off later. He’s definitely feeling himself after that triple-double and plenty of big games in this postseason, so it’s impossible not to roll with a number below his playoff average of 23.3 PPG. He and Ant are forming quite the scoring duo to carry the Wolves, and I’ll back that prospect again tonight.
Extra Bonus Bet (0.5 Unit) Jaden McDaniels Over 18.5 Points+Rebounds (-110; Odds via DraftKings)
Jaden once again had a well-rounded game as his playoff alter-ego keeps showing up. I’ll keep backing him on this prop as the Wolves player that is having seemingly the quietest good postseason, averaging 21.9 on this across the two series.
NBA (0.25 Unit) NY Knicks +4.5 @ Boston Celtics (-110; Odds via Caesars): 6:00 PM CT on TNT
This is entirely a fade of the emotionally deflating situation Boston finds themselves in. With Jayson Tatum likely out all of next season, this team cannot be in a good headspace right now, especially facing the daunting 3-1 deficit. There were already plenty of things going wrong for this Celtics squad before their star player went down, and I probably would’ve been leaning towards the Knicks on a much bigger number with Tatum in. The Knicks and their ability to be right there at the end of games makes a number like this attractive, so I’ll cautiously back the road dog tonight.
