MLB (0.5 Unit) Jonathan Aranda Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140; Odds via DraftKings): 6:05 PM CT on Prime Video

Aranda slipped out of the league lead for batting average after an 0-for-2 day at the plate yesterday, only his 4th game this season without a hit. But it made sense as he was facing a lefty, which changes today against Yankees starter Will Warren. I’ll be targeting Aranda against righthanded pitching all season, especially at home, as he’ batting .432 with a 1.265 OPS against righties and .444 with a 1.301 OPS in Tampa’s temporary park. This is too juicy a return to pass up on an emerging star, so look for Aranda to stay hot tonight.

Degenerates

MLB LA Angels/Texas Rangers Over 9.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:05 PM CT on Fanduel Sports West

Both of these teams need to get their offenses back on track, as the first two games of the series this week have been ugly. If they’re going to do it, tonight will be the night with the two starting pitchers they’re sending out. Jack Kochanowicz for the Angels comes in with a 5.74 ERA while Kumar Rocker is already up to a 7.94 ERA for Texas, and neither has faced anything close to a scary offense yet. While the bats for both teams have been scary bad the past week, that has to turn around eventually and this total wouldn’t be so high if there wasn’t a significant expectation it’s coming tonight.
