This is a massive game for playoff seeding after the Wolves flushed the 4-seed down the drain in the 4th quarter on Tuesday. I swear this team’s potential outcomes this season range from losing to the 10-seed in the play-in, to making a finals appearance.
They’re that inconsistent from game to game, so betting on them here or anywhere is a rollercoaster experience. Thankfully though, we have the consistency of Memphis to lean on for this bet, as the Grizzlies have been allowing big opening quarters at home all season. They are still dead last in the NBA for first quarter points allowed at home, giving up 30.6 on average.
The Grizzlies also coming back after a tough road trip that saw the scary injury to Jaylen Wells, so there’s some question as to where their heads are at collectively. The Wolves better be getting their heads right after Tuesday's epic collapse, and if they’re in need of a fast start, Memphis is the team to allow one and I’m hoping they capitalize.
