The league’s second-best under team visits the arena where the most unders have cashed this season. The Hornets visiting Target Center is a great situational spot for an under bettor, and I think tonight’s game stays well under this number. The Wolves have stayed under this total in 9 of their past 10 games, as missing Anthony Edwards and then reintegrating him to the offense has been disruptive to their scoring. Charlotte’s excellent defense should slow them down as well, while the Wolves flex their defense at home as usual. With both teams fighting for playoff seeding this should be a high defensive effort game, and another that stays under the number at Target Center.
College Basketball Crown (0.5 Unit) Oklahoma/West Virginia Over 137.5 (-110; Odds via DraftKings): 4:30 PM CT on FOX
The Crown wraps up today with a game that seems like it has a lot of scoring potential. The numbers sort of disagree actually, with metrics sites making the total right around this posted total, but that’s not how I see this game playing out. The reason for a lower number is the defense and slow pace of West Virginia, but they’ve been anything but their usual style out in Vegas for this event.
It makes some sense considering their defense is nowhere near as effective away from home, but their offense has taken off as well this week. That should allow them to stick with an Oklahoma team that brings an elite offense to this game, ranked 20th in adjusted efficiency and playing their best down the stretch of the season. The Sooners have the three-point shooting to challenge WVU’s defensive weakness, and it doesn’t take much to reach a total like this in today’s college basketball so I’ll go with the over here.
