NBA (0.5 Unit) Indiana Pacers @ Minnesota Timberwolves -7.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:00 PM CT on Fanduel Sports North
This is a banged-up Pacers squad coming to Target Center tonight, and I’m grabbing this number now before it steams up on bad news for Indiana’s health. They’ll already be without Pascal Siakam here, but are also dealing with injuries to Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner so the roster could get thin in a hurry for the Pacers.
I think the Wolves are fully capable of running them out even with a full roster available, as Indiana has been rough on the road. They have one singular win over a playoff team on the road since mid-January, and come into this game dropping six straight ATS. It’s time to recognize that the Wolves are rolling and this should be a double-digit win for them, which is where the spread might go if injury news breaks the right way.
NCAA Basketball (0.5 Unit) Memphis Grizzlies +2.5 @ Sacramento Kings (-110; Odds via Caesars): 9:00 PM CT on NBCS-CA
The fact that Ja Morant is out for this game and Memphis is only catching 2.5 on the road is a clear sign of how low Sacramento has fallen. The Kings might be 8-7 both straight up and ATS in their past 15 games, but those wins have come against a who’s-who of teams dreaming about Cooper Flagg. So they are not coming into this game in good form, and since the trade deadline deals they made their defense has gone off a cliff. Not playing any defense makes it a bad time to face the league’s highest-scoring and fastest-paced offense, with or without Ja Morant, so I would expect Memphis to win this one but I’ll take the points.
